MRS. SPALDING, 79, DIES, INTERMENT AT NEW HAVEN - A New Haven native, Mrs. Imelda Rapier Spalding, 79, of Louisville, died at 7 p.m., Thursday, March 8, at General Hospital there. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Anna F. Eilers and Mrs. Sue M. Hannaman, both of Louisville; two sons, Thomas Spalding, of Lexington, and John Spalding, of Pensacola, Florida, and 14 grandchildren. Widow of Webb Spalding, she lived in the New Haven area all her life until moving to Louisville after the death of her husband, several years ago. A daughter, Catherine, died a few years ago. Funeral Mass was offered at 11 o'clock Monday morning, March 12, at St. Catherine Church, New Haven, with burial in the church cemetery.

J. WEBB SPALDING DIES SUDDENLY - J. Webb Spalding, 58, near New Haven, died suddenly Friday about 7 p.m. on the way to a hospital in Louisville after being stricken with a heart attack on the street there. He had gone to Louisville Friday morning. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Imelda Rapier Spalding; five children, Anna Frances, Mary Catherine, Thomas John, and Sue Mary Spalding; two sisters, Mrs. Sudie Newton, Bardstown, and Mrs. Amy Stiles, Howardstown; two brothers, Jesse and Howard, Howardstown. Funeral services were held from his residence, two miles from New Haven and at St. Catherine's Church, New Haven, Monday morning at eight o'clock, Rev. Fred J. Gettelfinger, the pastor, officiating. Interment was in St. Catherine's Cemetery.
