Benjamin Pile, Jr. was born October 25, 1801 in Washington County, KY. He married first to Rhoda Weathers, 1805-1851, in Washington Co., KY on March 2, 1825. Rhoda was the daughter of James & Margaret (Curtsinger) Weathers and married in a double ceremony with her brother Isaac Weathers and Ben's sister Nancy Pile, who were my ancestors. Benjamin, Jr.'s eight known children were all born of his first union. Ben married secondly to Mary B. Wirt, 1811-1875. I have not been able to locate the record for this second marriage. Ben married thirdly to Anna C. (Grant) Jones, 1821-1897, widow of John R. Jones, on May 10, 1877 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY. Ben lived in the mansion that his father-in-law James Weathers was building when he died in 1826. He is buried in the what is now the barn lot behind this mansion. His tombstone is an obelisk with names and birth and death dates of his three wives. Anna C.'s death date was never added to her stone. They are buried in the Pile Family Cemetery #2 near Maude, Washington Co., KY.
