Owner and breeder of fine saddle and harness horses. He was widely known for exhibiting at many county and State Fairs, besides those in Kentucky, and his horses from th Knob Creek Stock Farm have been sold for fancy prices, going to Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and many other points where they have won recognition.
According to Helen Howard Peake, when Jack Thompson became too sick to go to the barn, the foals were brought to him for inspection at his home. There he correctly predicted that one of the foals would be a great horse.
