CECELIA ALOISE THOMPSON BOONE, 87, died Saturday, March 11, 2000, at her home in Howardstown. She was a native of Raywick, a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Howardstown and a homemaker and farmer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Lloyd and Rose Aletha Cecil Thompson; her husband, John W. Boone, Sr.; two sisters, Sister Mary Fides Thompson, O.S.U. and Sister Rose Marie Thompson, O.S.U.; four brothers, Willard Thompson, Cecil Thompson, Albert Thompson and Raffo Thompson. Survivors include seven daughters, Rosemary B. Burt, Nancy Wimsett and Irene Boone, all of Louisville; Catherine Kleier of Elkton, Md.; Mariam Boone of Pensacola, Fla.; and Sue Boone and Clara Jean Wheatley of Howardstown; four sons, Earl Boone of Anchorage, Alaska; John W. Boone Jr. of Charlotte, N.C.; Jim Boone of Bardstown; and Bob Boone of Howardstown; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Howardstown. Fathers Jim Mudd and Robert Brown will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 2-9 p.m. at Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven. A prayer service will be held Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

JOHN W. BOONE, 78, of Howardstown, a retired farmer, died Sunday at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown, after an illness. A native of Howardstown, he was a member of the National Farmers Organization. He is survived by his wife, the former Aloise Thompson; eight daughters, Rosemary B. Burt, Clara Jean Wheatley, Nancy Wimsett. Ruth Boone, Irene Boone, all of Louisville; Catherine Kleier of Elkton, Md.; Sue Boone and Mariam Boone, both of Bloomfield; four sons, Earl Boone, Anchorage, Alaska; John W. Jr., Birmingham, Ala.; Jimmy of Bardstown; and Bob Boone of Elizabethtown; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Survivors also include three sisters, Mrs. Agnes Boone and Mrs. Margaret Hicks, both of Star Route, New Haven; and Mrs. Theresa Hargadon of Dallas, Texas; and five brothers, Jimmy of Louisville; Louis of Prophetstown, IL.; Adolph, Anthony and Delime Boone, all of Howardstown. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today with a Mass at St. Ann Church, Howardstown, and burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Frank Gunther will be the chief celebrant. Con-celebrants will be the Rev. Lawrence Hardesty and Deacon Eddie Hutchins. A prayer service was held Tuesday evening at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home, New Haven, which is in charge of arrangements. Serviving as pallbearers will be sons, Earl, John Jr., Jim and Bob Boone, and sons-in-law, John Wheatley and Dan Kleier.
