Harriet was married twice:

Her first marriage was to Augustin/Augustine Cissell, son of Matthew. Her father signed his consent to the marriage on 7 Dec 1816 in Washington County. The marriage took place on 22 Dec 1816. Augustin/Augustine died in Dec 1820. Harriet's father was co-surety for the administration of his estate by his daughter Harriet (Rhodes) Cissell. (jk)

As Harriett Cissell she married her cousin William Rhodes on 24 November 1824 in Washington Co, Kentucky. The marriage bond was dated 20 Nov 1824.

With her first husband Harriet had one known son Augustin E. Cissell. This child most likely died 1817-1820.

With her second husband, Harriet had several Rhodes children--
Benedict Constantine, Francis Lucian, Eleanore/Ellen Ann J., Mary Camilla, Elizabeth Harriet Bendicta, William Thomas, and Emily Victoria.

NB--her second husband has incorrectly been identified as the son of her father. Her second husband, William Rhodes, the son of her uncle William Rhodes, was born in Washington D.C. Her uncle William Rhodes Sr. was a well-known tavern keeper in the capitol city before moving his third wife and two sons to Nelson County where he died Aug-Dec 1817.
