MARY A. "ANN" GOFF, 63, of 1285 U.S. Route 150 E, Gilson, IL, died at 4:23 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2006, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg, IL. She was born on Jan. 2, 1943, in Bardstown, KY, the daughter of John Thomas and Mary Eliza Reid Tobin. She married Charles Joseph Goff on Oct. 1, 1966, in St. Helen's Catholic Church in Shively, KY. He survives of rural Gilson, IL. Also surviving are one daughter, Becky Lynn (Louis) Kreppert of Aurora, IL; one son, Charles T. "Chuck" Goff of Chicago, IL; two grandchildren, Rachel Ann Kreppert and Lacie Goff; her mother, Mary Eliza Tobin of Bardstown, KY; and two sisters, Mary L. (Gary) Goff of Coxs Creek, KY, and Margaret V. (Joe Gene) Carrico of Bardstown, KY. She was preceded in death by her father. She was the aunt of Karalee Goff of Morton, IL, Allison (Brian) Clements of Bardstown, KY, and Lisa and Kelley Carrico of Coxs Creek, KY. She was the great-aunt of Lucas and Virginia Clements. She was raised and educated in Bardstown, KY, and graduated from the Bethlehem High School in Bardstown, KY, in 1961. She attended Louisville College of Beauty Culture in Louisville, KY. She worked at Maureen's Beauty Shop in Knoxville, IL, since 1993. She was an active member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Galesburg, IL, and was very active in the Altar and Rosary Society and the Parish Council, holding all offices including president. She was Eucharist Minister at the church. She was former president of Knoxville PTO and member of the Harry Philblad American Legion 749 Auxiliary of Knoxville, IL. She served as a Knox County election judge for many years. She was a member of the Honorary Order of Kentucky Colonels. She enjoyed working with the members of the Pacific Lodge #66, AF&AM of Knoxville, IL; Knoxville Chapter 880, Order of the Eastern Star; and Harry Philblad American Legion Post 749 of Knoxville, IL Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 17, 2006, at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Galesburg, IL, with prayers at 9 a.m. at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville, IL. Visitation will be from noon until 8 p.m. Sunday, April 16, 2006, at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville, IL, with eulogy service at 7 p.m. and rosary service at 8 p.m. Burial will be in Knoxville Cemetery in Knoxville, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Corpus Christi Altar and Rosary Society, Harry Philblad American Legion Post #749 Auxiliary, Knoxville Chapter #880, Order of the Eastern Star, and Appleton Fire Department.
