KENTUCKY STANDARD OBITUARY - 06/12/2008
Mary Eliza Reid Tobin, 98, a native of Nelson County, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. She was the former Mary Eliza Reid and a member of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral. She was employed for many years at Willett's Distillery in Bardstown. She was a member of St. Joseph Bereavement Committee and a volunteer at Life Care Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Tobin; two daughters, Mary Ann Goff and Margaret Carrico; her parents, Millard and Sue Willie Reid; a sister, Bertha Reid Moore; and a brother, J.M. Reid. Survivors include a daughter, Mary L. Goff, Cox's Creek; five grandchildren, four great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. at Barlow Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Bethlehem High School. Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
