Thomas William Mattingly, 84, of 541 Eastern Parkway, died Tuesday in Bardstown. He was a native of New Haven, a brickmason and a veteran of World War I. Survivors include his wife, the former Bessie Downs, and a sister, Mrs. Anna M. Downs. The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 760 Eastern Parkway, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Bardstown. Visitation is at Russman & Son Funeral Home, 1041 Goss Ave.

MATTINGLY - Mr. Thomas William passed away in his 84th year, Tues., Sept. 30, 1980 at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown, Ky. Former residence, 541 Eastern Pkwy. Beloved husband of Mrs. Bessie (nee Downs) Mattingly. Brother of Mrs. Anna Mae Downs. Services for Mr. Mattingly will be conducted Thurs. at 9 a.m. in the Russman & Son Funeral Home, 1041 Goss Ave. and 9:30 a.m. in Our Mother of Sorrows Church. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery in Bardstown, Ky. Prayer services 7 p.m. Wed. Visitation after 6 p.m. Tues.

Thomas William Mattingly, 84, a resident of Federal Hill Manor Nursing Home, formerly of Louisville, died Tuesday morning, September 30, at Flaget Hospital. He was a native of New Haven. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bessie Downs Mattingly, a resident of Colonial House Rest Home, and a sister, Mrs. Anna Mae Downs of Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 this morning, Thursday, October 2, at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, Louisville, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery here.
