DAVID GERALD HALL, SR., 79, of New Haven, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was a member of St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven, a retired co-owner of the Hall & Hall Construction Company, a member of the Haven Hoppers Square dancers and a resident of Sunrise Manor Nursing Home since June 2010. He was born Sep. 24, 1931 the son of the late Alvah Gregory and Estella Lee Seward Hall. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by one grandson, Patrick David Hall; four brothers, Andrew Hall, Lawerence Hall, Raphael Hall and Marvin Hall; and five sisters, Pauline Clark, JoAnne Hornback, Martha Hall, Regina Stewart and Betty Jane Cecil. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jean Beam Hall of Hodgenville, two sons, David G. (Jerry) Hall of New Haven and Victor (Cathy) Hall of Bardstown; six daughters, Deanna Nalley of Bardstown, Cathy (Steve) Williamson of Hodgenville, Jean Marie (Allen) Wimpsett, Betty Jo (Pat) Boone, Connie (Guy) Mouser and Sandy (Mike) Spaulding all of New Haven; two brothers, Louis (Dorothy) Hall of Bardstown and Larry (Phillis) Hall of New Haven; two sisters, Teresa Browning of Louisville and Joyce (Happy) Greenwell of Bardstown; and 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mass of Christian burial will be 11 A.M. May 2 at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church with Rev. Troy Overton, pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family respectfully requests donations be made to Kosair’s Charities. William R. Rust Funeral Home in New Haven was in charge of arrangements.
