MRS. JOSEPH L. BOONE DIES SUNDAY NIGHT AT HOWARDSTOWN HOME - MRS. LAURA CECIL BOONE, 68, widow of Joseph L. Boone, died Sunday night at nine o'clock at her home at Howardstown after an illness of almost a year. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Amanda Rose Spalding, Mrs. Euthalia Stiles and Miss Gertrude Boone, Howardstown; two sisters, Mrs. Imelda Grub, Indiana, and Mrs. Edna Kaster, Louisville. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 9 a.m. at St. Ann Church, Howardstown, Rev. Lawrence Boone, a relative, officiating. Interment was in the church Cemetery.

JOSEPH L. BOONE DIES SUDDENLY - RITES MONDAY AT HOWARDSTOWN FOR NELSON FARMER - Joseph L. "Josie" Boone, 73, Nelson County farmer, was found dead Saturday at 6:40 a.m. in the barn yard near his residence at Howardstown. Death was pronounced due to a heart attack. The son of the late Thomas Boone and Belle Howard Boone, Mr. Boone was born and reared at Howardstown. Twice married, he is survived by his second wife, Mrs. Laura Cecil Boone; three sons by his first marriage, Ramey, Emmett and Leo Boone, Howardstown; three children by his second wife, Mrs. Amanda Rose Spalding, Frankfort; Mrs. Euthalia Stiles and Miss Gertrude Boone, Howardstown; 23 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. (Services Held Monday) Funeral services were held Monday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, Howardstown, with Requiem Mass, the pastor, Rev. Bernard Knoer, officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Among those who attended the funeral were Mrs. Imelda Gropp, Jeffersonville, Ind.; Mrs. John Kaster, Mr. Garland Kaster, Mrs. Maggie Newton, Mr. Thomas Boone, Louisville; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cecil and Mr. Woodrow Cecil, Mrs. Bertha Nevitt, Bardstown; Mrs. Annie Whelan, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Johnson, Mrs. Imelda Bowling, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Boone, New Haven. Pallbearers were Fennesy Howard, Arthur Howard, Lynn Howard, Frank L. Boone and Boone Alvey.
