Joseph Gerard Greenwell, 68, of Elizabethtown, KY passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2019.
Mr. Greenwell was a veteran of the United States Navy. His memberships include: St. Brigid Catholic Church, Knight of Columbus, American Legion post #113, Elizabethtown, KY, and the NRA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur & Margaret Greenwell; one sister-in-law, Eileen Greenwell. Survivors include: His loving wife of 48 years, Paula Greenwell of Elizabethtown, KY; two daughters, Beth Ann Greenwell & her husband, Ron of Rineyville, KY, Dana Marie Padgett & her husband, Chuck of Rineyville, KY; six grandchildren, Joshua, Garrett, Logan, Lillie, Waylon, Case; one brother, Don Greenwell of Louisville, KY; one sister, Ellen Dutschke & her husband, David of Louisville; and a host of family & friends who loved Joseph Gary. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY, and from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at St. Catherine Catholic Church, New Haven, KY. A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Greenwell will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 29, 2019 at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church, New Haven, KY. Burial will follow in the St. Catherine Cemetery.
