Died at the home of his neice, Mrs. Lucy Cooper Wilcox. Served in the Southern Army in the Civil War. In 1865 he went to St. Claire Co., MO and farmer with his brother, Demas, Jr. In 1875 went West and spent a number of years in Oregon, California and Colorado. When Oklahoma was thrown open for settlement, he homesteaded there on land which he later sold to his nephew, Lee Doyal. He then returned to MO and spent last 20 years among his relatives. He never married.58
