BOONE -- JAMES FRANKLIN JR., 84, formerly of Louisville, died Monday, July 21, 2008, at the Wolfe County Healthcare Center, in Campton, KY. He was a native of Nelson County, KY, he worked for the old Jacob Levy's Hardware and Lumber Co. and was a member of St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Bland Boone. He is survived by his sons, Joseph D. Boone (Nanette) and Ronald Howard Boone (Ina Ruth); and grandchildren, Jeff, Carrie, Jimmy and Nicholas Boone. His funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Embry-Bosse Funeral Home, 2723 Preston Hwy., with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-8 p.m. Wednesday.

He was preceded in death by: his wife, Geneva Bland Boone. Survivors include: his sons, Joseph D. and Ronald Howard Boone; and four grandchildren. Funeral service was held July 24 at Embry-Bosse Funeral Home, Louisville, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Embry-Bosse Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

GENEVA B. BOONE, 75, of Louisville, died Thursday, March 21, 2002, at Caritas Medical Center. She was the former Geneva Bland, a native of Marion County, Ky, a retired bookkeeper and a member of St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church. Beloved wife of James F. Boone and devoted mother of Joseph D. and Ronald H. Boone. Also survived by sisters, Shirley Thomas and Jean Simpson; a brother, Tommy Bland; and grandchildren, Jeff, Carrie, Jimmy and Nicholas Boone. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Monday at St. Stephen Martyr Church, 2931 Pindell Avenue. Burial: Calvary Cemetery. Visitation: 4-9 p.m. Sunday at Embry-Bosse Funeral Home, 2723 Preston Highway.
