Lafollette, John (Private) - John Lafollette, the son of Squire Lafollette and Matilda Thompson, was born about 1842 in Larue County. Kentucky. A farmer. Lafollette was 5' 10'. with a dark complexion. gray eyes. and brown hair.

Captured in the battle of Stone River, near Murfreesborough, Tenn. Dec 31, 1862. Confined at Richmond, VA Jan 16, 1863, paroled at City Point, at Jan. 26, 1863. repoted at Camp Parole, MD. Jan 27, 1863 and at camp Chase, Ohio March 13, 1863. He was wounded - contusion right hip at the battle of Chiamauga, GA. Sept 20, 1863. Lafollette died in New Haven, Kentucky. on October 4, 1913. - The battle rages higher: the Union's Fifteenth Kentucky Infantry By Kirk C. Jenkins
