James Thompson was not listed on Larue County Kentucky Cemeteries by Edward Benningfield published by McDowell Publications 1982. After a visit to the cemetery in 2013, his is one of the few headstones found. Most are stones buried or in poor condition.

From the Larue County Herald November 8, 1904:
Bud Thompson, of Nebraska, is visiting his brother, Mr. John R. Thompson, of this place. The above named brothers had the remains of their father, James Thompson, who has been dead for nineteen years, removed from the family burying ground on the old home place to the family graveyard at Mr. Jeff Grimes.

Cemetery notes and/or description:
Directions to the Grimes family cemetery From Hodgenville, Kentucky take Highway 210 towards Campbellsville, left on CR1390 (Attilla Road), left on Levelwoods Road (Bethel Church is on this road), left on Walters Lane. Cemetery is in wooded berry, tree patch about 400 feet to the right of the road (about a football field length hike). The cemetery is abandoned. Not many stones are readable. Hibernia, KY no longer exists. A new highway runs through what used to be the town.
