J. H. (Tuck) Rapier, general transportation inspector for the Santa Fe Railway at Amarillo, TX died September 21 in the Santa Fe Hospital at Albuquerque, NM, after a long illness.

Mr. Rapier was born June 12, 1895, at New Haven, KY, and was first employed as a switchman for the Santa Fe at Newton, KS, in 1920, subsequently becoming yardmaster at El Dorado, KS, and general yardmaster at Albuquerque, before being made general transporation inspector in the office of the general manager at Amarillo in 1944. Except for a brief period in 1945 when he was acting trainmaster at Las Vegas, NM, he continued in this capacity until his death.
