Herrmann, Dorothy Rita Edelen, 90 of Louisville, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014.

She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Edward Herrmann; daughter, Mary Lee Cays; a son, John Paul Herrmann, 4 grandkids, a brother, Robert H. Edelen; and a sister, Virginia Bennett.

Her Funeral Mass will be 12:00 p.m. Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes, 508 Breckenridge Lane with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 5 on Sunday at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road "in St. Matthews". -Published in THE COURIER JOURNAL, Sept. 20, 2014

Herrmann, Joseph Edward, 95, of Louisville, passed away peacefully Friday morning, March 25, 2016.

He was a native of Louisville, son of the late Charles Bernhard Herrman, Sr. and Lily Thorne Herrmann. He was a graduate of St. Brigid, St. Xavier High School, Class of 39 and earned a B.S. in Business from the University of Louisville. He was a pilot in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. He was also an Eagle Scout and Scout Master, for Troop #55, member of and former president of the Sierra Club and Big Springs Country Club, and a co-founder the the aquatic programs for J.C.P.S.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 52 years, Dorothy "Dottie" Edelen Herrmann; and a brother, Charles Bernhard Herrmann, Jr.

He is survived by his children, Mary Lee Cays (Troy), John Paul Herrmann (Yvonne); daughter, grandchildren, Edward Cays, Tara Cays, Timothy Cays and Joseph Patrick Herrmann.

His Funeral Mass will be 12 p.m. Friday, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 508 Breckenridge Lane with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
