In the 1900 Larue County Census, Mary A. Puckett was family 54 in the Magnolia area. She was 43 years old, divorced, and the mother of 5, 4 living children. Living with her were: Jesse Benningfield, 23, Ida Benningfield, 17; and Howell Puckett, son, 5.

In the 1910 Larue County census, Mary A. Benningfield was head of household 256. She was 54 years old and one child was living with her; Howell Puckett, age 15 years.

Benningfield, Mrs. Mary Ann, Maiden name Howell, born July 22, 1856 died November 22, 1931 at the age of 75 years old. Member of Mt. Moriah but later moved her membership to Mt. Tabor. Husband, John C. Benningfield who died many years ago, had four children, one died in infancy, son, Jesse and Mrs. Eda Straley preceded her in death and one daughter by this marriage, Mrs. Eugene Benningfield in Texas, Later years she married R.V. Puckett, they had one son, Howell. Burial at Mt. Tabor.
