Thomas James Boarman's Will.
I, Thomas James Boarman Sr of CC, am weak in body but of sound mind, memory, and understanding. Firstly, I want my just debts and funeral charges paid.
To my son Thomas James Boarman a small parcel of land, lying between his dwelling plantation and a line drawn from the 2nd bound tree of Guibets, to Wilson's great Run. Also 6 sheep and 1 feather bed & furniture, and 50 £ currency, the money to be paid after my wife's death.
To my son Joseph Boarman all that tract of land lying between Marsham Warring's line and Guibets line from the swamp line of Boarman's manor to the head line of sd Manor.
To my son Edward Boarman all that tract of land lying between my son Joseph's ditch, running up his Spring branch, to Boon's line, and with Joseph Bowling's line to a locust post, and with the sd line to a post standing in Zachiah Swamp, and with the sd Swamp line of Boarman's Manor, to the beginning.
To my son Raphel Boarman all that tract of land I now live on, after his mother's death. If Raphel doesn't choose to live with his mother, I want him to have that part of the land which was called his Brother's James Boarman's Land. Also, I give him my Water Mill. Also the following: "Veyes", Rachel ack. U child, yellow Charles, and Harry, Clock, Church Stuff", 1 pewter dish, and 6 plates, 6 New England Cheers, 1 iron pot, 1 frying pan, and feather bed with furniture. Also 2 cows & calves, 5 sheep, 2 sows and pigs, 1 horse and saddle, the horse not to exceed 20 £ currency. I want Raphel to pay to his Brother, the priest John C. Boarman, 900 lbs of crop tobacco yearly.
To my grandson John Boon a small parcel of land lying between Francis Wheatley's and the upper line of Boarman's Manor.
To my daughter Sarah Boarman the following 3 Negroes: Bess, Charity, and Henny; 6 sheep, 7 cows and calves, 1 pewter dish, 6 plates, 6 New England cheers, 1 iron pot, 1 frying pan, 1 feather bed with the furniture, 1 Gold Ring, and 1 horse and saddle, the horse not to exceed 20 £ currency.
To my grandson Nicholas Boarman 1 Negro boy Matt.
To my grandson Thomas Boarman 1 Negro boy, Moses.
To my granddaughter Rachel Boarman the 2 following Negroes: B_easa, and Agnes; also 1 cow and calf and 1 feather bed with furniture.
To my grandson Henry Boarman 1 Negro boy Lewis
To my wife Jean Boarman the 2 following Negroes: Cato and Charity, and after her death, to fall to my daughter Sarah.
To my 4 sons, Thomas, Joseph, Edward, and Raphel the rest of my real estate.
To my wife Jean Boarman the rest of my personal estate, during her natural life, and after her death, the Negroes to be equally divided amongst my 4 sons, Thomas, Joseph, Edward, and Raphel, the residue to be equally divided among all my children.
