PEAKE, MARTHA SCHOTT, 88, passed away peacefully with her children by her side on Friday, August 21, 2009 at Baptist Hospital East. She lived in Sally's Garden at the Masonic Home in Louisville.
She was a retired employee of Corhart Refractory and a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Lakeside Swim Club and for the last 20 years she was a member of their 50 Mile Swim Club. In 1974 she returned to Spalding College and earned her BS degree (Home Economics). Martha loved to travel with family and friends.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Thaddeus Andrew Peake, Jr.
Survivors include her children, Thaddeus A. Peake, III (Lori), Margaret P. Grissom Gittner (Alan), Mary Allen Peake, Martha Jane Peake Smith (Pat), Hannah O'Bryant (Mark) and Sarah Jane Peake; as well as ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
