It was rumored that Frank Peak took the "E" off Peake because he had a car dealership and it cost more to have the extra letter put on the emblems that were attached to the cars.
Frank died from a fall down the basement stairs in his own home in Elizabethtown.
Frank Peak. 67, of Elizabethtown, died at 5ยท35 a m. Thursday at Harden Memorial
Hospital, elizabethtown. He was a native of Nelson County, and vice president and service manager of the Tinsley Oldsmobile and Cadillac in Elizabethtown. He had been employed there for 37 years. He is survived by his wife, the former Helen C. Graf; a son, Frank N. Peak, of elizabethtown; six daughters, Mrs. Charlie Wise, of Colesburg, Mrs. arthur Holland, of Mount Clemens, Mich., Mrs. Stanly Dabrowski, of Nashua, N.N., Mrs. Glenn Walker, of Falls Church, VA., and Mrs. Edward Quinton and Mrs. Tevis Bennett, and 13 grandchildren. The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. James Catholic Church, elizabethtown, with burial in the church cemetery. The body is at Manakee-Brown Funeral Home, Elizabethtown.
