Her death entry from the Sacramental Register for 1896 for St. Catherine Church, New Haven, Kentucky says she was about 70 years old.

Mrs. Rose Peak died at the home of Richard Peak of near New Haven on the 4th. She was 80 years old. Her burial took place at Gethsemani Cemetery on Saturday.
She lived near Fordsdale, KY at the time of her death.
On March 24, 1864, she filed a signed affidavit for pension benefits after the death of her son James WILLIAM Boone, who served as a soldier in Company G of the 10th Regiment of the Kentucky Volunteer Infantry in the war of 1861, signing her name "Roseann A. Boon." She was later granted pension benefits as his dependent from his death in 1862 until she remarried William Peake on March 30th, 1869.

From Fordsdale: death of Mrs. Rosa Peak
Died, on the 2nd, at this place, Mrs. Rosa Hagan Boone Peak, in her eightieth year, of general disability. Mrs. Peak was first married to Henry Boone and after his death was married to Wm. Peak, who has also long been dead. For four years previous to her death Mrs. Peak was blind but she bore her affliction with Christian fortitude. There was quite a romance connected with her life. By her first marriage was born a daughter who married Dick Peak, now living at this place. Some years after the marriage of her daughter, Henry Boone, husband of the elder Mrs. Peak, died and the widow married Wm. Peak, father of Richard Peak, who married the daughter. By this means Mrs. Wm. Peak was the mother-in-law of Mr. Richard Peak and at the same time his step-mother. Mrs. Peak by her first husband was the mother of Mrs. Richard Peak of this place, Mr. Miles Boone of Gethsemane, and Mr. T. E. Boone of the San Carlos Hotel, of Louisville. She was buried on the 4th inst. at Gethsemane, fortified by the rites of the Catholic church, of which she was a lifelong member.
