Benningfield, Arland W. Jr, 89 of Louisville, passed away on May 17, 2016. He was born in Marion County, KY. He was a retired Insurance Salesman for Prudential Insurance Company and he was a Navy Veteran during World War II. He was also a Published Author and he was a member of West Broadway Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Arland Sr. and Mary Nell Benningfield, and his sister Lela Fox. He is survived by his wife Faye, his children Brenda Lenzi (Bill), Arland Benningfield, III (Kitty), Jerry Benningfield (Annette), Jeanette Richards (Larry), and Andrew Benningfield, step children Larry Ross(Kelly,) Pam Wilson (Wendell), and Laura Ross (Ray), 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and one brother Billy Benningfield (Frances). Visitation will be Wednesday May 18th from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Owen Funeral Home-Jeffersontown 9318 Taylorsville Rd. Funeral services will be Thursday May 19th at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Arland W. Benningfield, Jr. was the grandson of Pleasant and Mary Letitia(Short) Benningfield and Rev James Robert Marrs and Lela (Powell) Marrs.

Arland compiled an extensive and well documented Benningfield Genealogy in 1990 and updated it in 1991 and worked on it up until his death.
