Mrs. Amanda Ridgeway Gentry, 82 years old, widow of William Riley Gentry, a Confederate veteran, died unexpectedly at 12:30 o'clock Wednesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Tom B. Meglemry, 1728 Shady Lane. Besides Mrs. Meglemry she is survived by two other daughters, Miss Zola Gentry of Lake Charles, LA., and Mrs. W. Frasier Dunlap; a son, R. O. Gentry, and three sisters, Mrs. Annie Glover of Cincinnati, Mrs. M. J. Vardeman of Wichita, KS, and Mrs. W. S. Smith. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at Pearson’s. Burial will be in Cave Hill Cemetery.
