Mrs Mary Jane (_____) Howard's death entry is from the 1857 Sacramental register for St. Catherine Church, New Haven, Kentucky. It says she was the wife of William Howard and was buried here. She has no tombstone in this cemetery.

Married twice.
William is the one who died so young too, and was married first to Mary Jane Nevitt, who wasn’t the sister of Margaret Nevitt (HP Cambron) or Eleanor "Nellie" Nevitt, (wife of Alex Howard) but probably some kind of cousin to them. Mary Jane Nevitt died young. Then William married Cordelia Coomes, who didn`t die until she was 88 in Louisville. Whoever wrote the story in the Nelson Co. family book didn’t know she didn’t die young. I originally had that down too, but I have lots of records on Cordelia and her death certificate too, dated in the 1920s.79
