Margie Skaggs, daughter of Logan and Dora Durham Skaggs, married Guy Dewey Howell on 22 Oct, 1938. They were 3rd cousins, once removed.

Margie Howell, 82, of Bowling Green, formerly of Hodgenville, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1998, at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green. She was a member of Mount Tabor Baptist Church in Buffalo and was retired from the U. S. Government Nutritional Services as an instructor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Howell; two sisters, Winnie Simmons and Louise Alpiger; and a brother, Howard Skaggs.
Survivors include a daughter, Patty Howell Sidebottom of Campbellsville; a son, Gordon Howell of Bowling Green; a sister, Jane Bailey of Shelbyville; three brothers, Coy Skaggs of Gainesville, Fla., J. D. Skaggs of Hodgenville and James Lemon Skaggs of Indiana; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral was Friday at Mount Tabor Baptist Church in Buffalo with the Rev. Carlos Compton and the Rev. Roger Pepper officiating. Burial was in Mount Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery.
