WINKLER, KATHERINE B. "KASS," 82, died Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at Marian Home of the Ursuline Sisters, 3105 Lexington Road, Louisville. In addition to being a housewife and mother, she served as a tutor in the early Charles L. Shedd dyslexia program, PTA president of her children's school, and gave fifteen years of devoted volunteer service to Hospice of Louisville. She was the cherished wife of Oscar Adam "Bud" Winkler, mother to Ellen Marie Tassin, Rhonda Ann Raderer, Samuel Anthony and Sandra Lea Winkler and grandmother MiMi to Jacob and Austin Raderer, Chris and Nick Tassin, and Alex and Emily Winkler. Surviving brothers and sisters include: John "Jack", Jeane Theobald, Ms. Carol Bennett, Patrick "Pat", Helen Downs, Betty Tharp, Robert "Bobby", and JoAnn McCloskey. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, April 2 at her church, St. Anthony of Padua, 2222 W. Market Street, Louisville, KY. Followed by private services and entombment at Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY. Visitation at the Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday April 1, 2007. It is suggested that memorial donations be made to The DePaul School, St. Anthony Church, the Ursuline Sisters' Retirement Fund, or Franciscan Shelter Home, 748 S. Preston St., Louisville, 40201

Winkler Jr., Oscar Adam “Bud”, 87, died June 10, 2015. He was born October 23, 1927 to Oscar A. Sr., and Irma L. Sauer Winkler.

O.A. was a veteran of WWII, a graduate from U of L and a Postgraduate student at Notre Dame. He was a residential builder/ developer for over 25 years, the initial Director of Development for The de Paul School for 12 years, following as Director of Campus Services for the Ursuline Sisters for nine years.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years Katherine “Kass” Bennett Winkler.

He is survived by daughter, Ellen M. Tassin (Jerry), Rhonda A. Raderer (Rick), Sandra “Sandy” L. Winkler; son, Samuel A. Winkler (Jeanne) ; six grandchildren, Jacob and Austin Raderer, Christopher and Nicholas Tassin and Alex and Emily Winkler.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 10am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church 501 Cherrywood Rd., followed with a private family entombment service at Resthaven Cemetery.
