John Louis Foushee passed away peacefully at Traditions at Beaumont in Louisville, KY on the April 18th, 2020 at the age of 89.
John was a kind, gentle, observant man who always provided for those around him. He was an Army veteran and worked at General Electric in Louisville. He was a long-time member of St. Rita Parish in Louisville.
John is survived by three sons, Chris (Cindy), Dennis (Tamme), and Kenny (Angie) along with daughter, Kathy (Charlie) Elswick, Grandchildren, Amy, Ellen, Leah, Jonathan, Joel, Jenna, Miranda, Kristy and Kasey; Great-granddaughters Aria, Keira, Alexandra, Samantha, and Jane, Great-grandson Liam along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews, Brothers Larry, Steve and David Foushee, and sisters, Rose Anna Sarver, Julia Williamson, Martha Helen Jones, and Marietta Mullins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Ann Russell Foushee, great grandson, Andrew Lee Foushee, parents, Ira Joe Foushee and Anna Mary Laing Foushee, four brothers, Joseph Marion, Martin, Tommy, and Frank Foushee and sisters, Regina M. Foushee LaFollette and Kathleen McCamish
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will not be a funeral home showing nor a mass at this time. Instead, a private service will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Louisville, KY with burial there. Celebrations of life will happen at a later date.
