Mrs. Gertrude Rapier young, 78, of Lebanon, widow of J. Louis Young, died at 10:10 P.M. Sunday at Mary Immaculate Hospital after 17 month illness. She had been hospitalized eight days. Her husband, a farmer, died several years ago. Surviving are three sons, James Young, Lebanon, Clarence Young, Louisville, & Lawrence Young, Frankfort; three daughters, Mrs. Kelly Mattingly, Route 1, Finley; Mrs. Matthew Weatherholt & Mrs. Joe Mann, both of Louisville; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Guy Porter and Mrs. Ralph Myers, both of Dayton, Ohio; also, a brother, Hugh Rapier, New Haven; & two sisters, Mrs. Clem Osborne, Route 2, Lebanon, & Miss Mary Rapier, New Haven; 11 grandchildren, & 13 great-grandchildren. The body was at Bosley Funeral Home. Funeral services were conducted at 10 A.M. yesterday at St. Augustine Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Abstracted by: Diann Finch Harpley
