Doris Fleece Conniff, 88, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Jefferson Place.
She was born August 2, 1930 in Louisville, a daughter to the late William Peak and Lorena Glock Peak. Doris was a 1948 graduate of Holy Rosary Academy.
She was a member of St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church and a former member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Doris loved tending to her rose gardens, playing a good game of Bridge and “Happy Hour” every day. Her winters were spent at her favorite place, Siesta Key, Florida. She enjoyed her adventures traveling the United States, having visited over 48 of the 50, collecting a magnet for each place traveled.
She is preceded in death by her late husbands, Charles P. Fleece and Bernard J. Conniff and her brother, Leon Peak.
Doris is survived by her children, Sherri Braley (Scott), Steven Fleece (Bev), Randy Fleece (Beverly), Greg Fleece (Jen); step-children, Dennis Conniff (Lesley) and Kevin Conniff (Kristie); seven grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild and 17 great-grandchildren.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, December 3, 2018 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Road, followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, “in St. Matthews”.

CONNIFF, BERNARD JOSEPH "JOE," 82, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Baptist Hospital East. Joe was a native of Louisville, son of the late Bernard J. and Elizabeth Stewart Conniff. He was a graduate of Flaget High School, and retired from the old Standard Gravure. He loved playing golf at Seneca golf course, was an avid Louisville Cardinal Fan, and a member of St. Louis Bertrand Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his first wife, Joan Wingfield Conniff. He is survived by his second wife, Doris Fleece Conniff; sons, Dennis J. (Lesley) and Kevin L (Kristi) Conniff; granddaughter, Kylie Kimiko Conniff; sister, Emily Malcomb (Don); step children, Steve (Bev), Randy, Greg (Jen) Fleece, Sherri Braley (Scott); seven step grandchildren and seven step great-grandchildren. His Funeral Mass will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, at St. Louis Bertrand, 1108 S. Sixth St. with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Sunday, at Ratterman's, 3711 Lexington Road. Memorial contributions in Joe's memory may be made to Mass of the Air.
