Kye Lynn Schaefer, 59, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. He was a U.S.Navy Veteran and a life-member of the Hobart Beach VFW Post 1693 in New Albany.
He was born on March 28, 1959 in New Albany, Indiana to Ruth (Wells) and the late John Schaefer, Jr.
Along with his mother, Kye is survived by his daughter, Brittany Sandven-Beville, grandson, Trevan Sandven; and sisters, Shinda Farnsley and Johnna Blair (Glen).
Memorial Visitation will be from 2PM to 4PM on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany. His Memorial Service will follow at 4PM on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial and Military Honors will be scheduled for a later date at New Albany National Cemetery. The family requests that contributions in Kye’s memory be made to the J. G. Brown Cancer Center.
