Mrs. Therese M. Filiatreau, 97, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at the Little Sister of the Poor in Louisville. She was born July 20, 1915 in Springfield, was a homemaker, a former member of the St. Joseph Bereavement Committee and a member of St. Joseph Parish. She was a loving mother, grandmother and will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Edward Filiatreau, her parents, R. S. and Carrie Montgomery Mudd, and several brothers. Survivors include 6 sons, Thomas R. (Joyce) Filiatreau of Louisville, George J. (Alice Marie) Filiatreau, Samuel (JoAnn) Filiatreau, Charles K. (Paula) Filiatreau, N. A. (Jeanne) Filiatreau, all of Bardstown, and Jack (Debra) Filiatreau of Augusta, GA, 7 daughters, Carolyn Crepps, Joyce (Joseph) Edelen, Susan (Robert) Smith, Jeanette (David) Stephens, all of Louisville, Elizabeth (James) Mayer of Radcliff, Alice Filiatreau and spouse, James Pigram of Floyd Knobs, IN and Ann (Sam) Riley of Dallas, TX, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. The Reverend Bill Hammer will officiate with Deacon Sam Filiatreau assisting. Visitation will be Friday, August 31 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 to 10:30 am at Clark and Houghlin Funeral Home. A prayer service will be Friday evening at 7:00 pm conducted by Deacon Sam Filiatreau. Memorial contributions may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 15 Audubon Plaza Drive, Louisville, KY 40217. Clark and Houghlin Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements.
