BOWLING, MARY IRENE "BOONE", 79, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2007, at her home. She was a loving mother and homemaker and a member of St. Gabriel the Archangel. She is survived by her husband of 59 years Wallace S. Bowling Sr.; two daughters, Gail Stevens (Jim) and Joan Bard (David); five sons, W. Steve Jr., Bruce (Brenda), Mark (Tricia), Kent and Glenn Bowling (Kim); 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Betty Ballard (Elmer) and Wanda Downs (Charlie). Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday at St. Gabriel the Archangel, 5505 Bardstown Rd., with entombment to follow in Resthaven cemetery. Her visitation will be noon-8 p.m. on Sunday and 9-10:30 a.m. on Monday at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road. A vigil service will be 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. Memorial gifts may be made in her name to St, Gabriel the Archangel, Hospice of Louisville or the Alzheimer Association.
