Misc. Notes
Louisville - It is with deep sadness that our very much loved son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Anderson Grissom passed away suddenly April 7, at the age of 40. He is survived by his mother Margaret Gittner [Alan], his father Andy Grissom [Linda], his brother Marshall Grissom [Brandy], sister Tammaye Grissom, brother Tyler Gittner [Camelle], nephew and niece Sawyer and Evie Maye Grissom along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and hundreds of friends from KY, Tunisia, London, Lebanon, Hawaii, etc.

Anderson worked in the restaurant industry for most of his life as a server, bartender and manager. He achieved his ultimate dream of co-founding the restaurant Dish on Market in downtown Louisville with his brother Marshall. He was well known by his customers, family and friends for his warm smile, kindness and generosity towards all, including strangers. He was a giver; someone who would offer his last dollar, the shirt off his back, his last smoke or his ear to someone who just needed to talk.

He struggled throughout his life with many issues including the loss of his grandfather Thad Peake, his cousin Suzanne and his step-brother Arick. Their deaths had a profound effect on his life. He loved them all dearly, though we would not be surprised if Anderson, Suzanne and Arick are all sitting in Heaven's version of the "Time Out" corner.

True to his great love for Louisville, Anderson loved the UofL Cards, Muhammad Ali, a good cigar and a fine bourbon. He lived life on his terms and his brother and friends agree that he packed in at least 150 years of living and nine lives into his short 40 years.

A Celebration of Anderson's life will be held at Friday 4/20, 11:30 am at St. Agnes Church, 1920 Newburg Road with visitation there from 9-11:30 am. Additional visitation will be at Dish on Market between 6-9:00 pm that evening. In lieu of flowers; please consider a donation to Driven Purpose, in Louisville which is a women's home for addiction recovery that was started by Anderson's dear friend Amanda Scott.
