HAGAN, HELEN S., of Louisville passed away, Monday, August 8, 2005.

She was born Helen Ann Snyder May 21, 1915, in St. Louis, MO, to Herbert and Grace Snyder. Helen devoted her life to her children, grandchildren and spending time with her family. After her years as a den mother, troop leader, and afterschool chauffer she enjoyed bridge, gardening, and lively politics. Helen was admired and loved by all who knew her, and to her children she will always be "Our Little Pink Angel."

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bertran "Bert" Hagan and her brother Robert Snyder.

She is survived by her six children and Bert's three children. She is also survived by three grandchildren.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the Marian Home Chapel, Ursuline Campus, 3105 Lexington Road, Louisville, KY, 40206 followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2005, at Ratterman's, 3711 Lexington Road. Memorial gifts may be made to the Marian Home.

Bert Hagan, 92, of Louisville, passed away on Sunday at the Marian Home. He was a native of New Haven, KY, a retired, self-employed tax accountant and a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, the former Helen S. Long; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Patricia of New York, NY; a daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Pat Cashin of Minneapolis, MN; a daughter, Sister Margaret Ann Hagan; three stepsons, Bill Long of Minneapolis, Jim Long of Ellenton, FL and Thomas Long of Simpsonville, KY; two stepdaughters, Carolyn Engelhard of Charlottesville, VA and Cathi Kneuper of Copper Mountain, CO; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six great-grand-sons; two nephews; one niece; and a sister-in-law, Armella Hagan of Louisville. Mr. Hagan was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Lechleiter Hagan, and his two brothers, Leo and Jodie Hagan, OP. His funeral Mass will be held at noon on Tuesday at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Rd., with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Marian Home, 3105 Lexington Rd., followed by visitation from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Rd. Memorial gifts may be made to Ursuline Sisters' Development Fund.
