COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Evelyn Marie "Sue" Burchett, 81, of Cookeville will be held at 2 p.m. today from Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Burchett died on Friday, June 13, 2003, at her residence.
She was born July 7, 1921, in Houston, Texas, to the late Retus and Agnes Walters Tripplet. Mrs. Burchett was a factory worker for the Cookeville Shirt Factory. She was a member of the Sycamore Church of Christ.
Her family includes two sons and one daughterinlaw: Will and Judy Burchett of Brentwood, and James Edward Burchett of Cookeville; a daughter, Phyllis Burchett of Cookeville; a sister, Betty Franklin Edwards, of Houston; six grandchildren: Jeannie and Jamie Burchett, David, Scott, and Tim Cuthbertson; and three greatgrandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burchett was preceded in death by her husband, Willie L. Burchett; a son, Dennis Burchett; and three brothers: Retis, Robert and Shelby Tripplet.
