Mrs. Hattie Sutter, widow of John Sutter, died at 7:45 Thursday evening at St. Marys hospital. She has been in failing health for the last four months. Her husband died November 18th, just 4 weeks ago and is believed to have hastened her own death. Her condition grew steadily worse after his demise. Mrs. Sutter was 67 years old. She was born in Tuscola and was a daughter of King B. & Emily Johnson. She and John Sutter were married in Nashville, Tenn. about 40 years ago and the family home has been in Decatur ever since. She is survived by two stepsons: Charles C. Sutter of Decatur and Claude A. Sutter of Laverne, Calif. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Holland and Mrs. Mollie Owens, both of Decatur. The body was taken to Moran & Sons funeral directors and prepared for burial.
