Herman Franklin Bruner, age 92 of Garfield, KY died Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was born in Garfield, KY on February 22, 1922, the son of the late Grover Cleveland and Nellie Morris Bruner. Mr. Bruner enjoyed his work as a farmer and attended Custer United Methodist Church. He was a WWII Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters: Pearl Robinson, Lucy Jackel, Matilda Marr, Katherine Basham, Billy Bruner and Ralph Bruner.
Mr. Bruner is survived by his wife of 66 years Idalena Triplett Bruner of Garfield, KY

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 11 AM with Rev. Alisa Carman and Rev. Larry Hicks officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the Hensley Cemetery.

Ida Lena Bruner, age 97 of Garfield, KY died Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at North Hardin Health and Rehab Center. She was born in Custer, KY on September 24, 1920, the daughter of the late Alfred and Lilly Oliver Triplett. She was a member of Custer United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Bruner enjoyed cooking, gardening and the everyday tasks of a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Herman F. Bruner, sister - Lillian Ward and brothers - Morris, Alexander and Alfred Triplett.
Mrs. Bruner is survived by her son: Boyce Bruner and his wife Zandra of Mount Washington, KY
daughter: Sharlene Rose of Westfield, IN
