Morris Oliver Triplett, 67, of Rt. 1, Irvington, died Friday, August 7, 1981, at the Veteran's Hospital, Louisville, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Triplett was born in Breckinridge County March 13, 1914, the son of the late Lillie Oliver Triplett and Alfred Triplett, a resident of Medco Center, Hardinsburg, who survives. He was a farmer and a Veteran of WW2. Surviving in addition to his father is his wife, Mrs. Virginia Carman Triplett, a son Rodney Triplett, Rt. 1, Irvington, two sisters, Mrs. Ida Bruner, Garfield and Mrs. Lillian Ward, Merritt Island, Florida, two brothers, Jesse Triplett, Louisville and Alfred Earl Triplett, Hodgenville. Two grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday from the chapel of the Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, with the Rev. Arthur Thornhill officiating. Interment was in the Custer Cemetery.

Mrs. Virginia Lois Triplett, 72-year-old Custer resident, died Wednesday, December 15, 1999 at Vencor of Louisville. Mrs. Triplett was born in Breckinridge County on March 22, 1927, a daughter of the late Virgil and Verna Carman. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hill Grove Church of God. Her husband Morris Oliver Triplett, preceded her in death in 1981. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Mary Triplett, Custer; a sister, Betty Ramsey, Custer, Three brothers, Donald Carman, Brandenburg, Robert Carman and Edsel Carman; grandchildren, Carity Martin, Jason Triplett and Scott Triplett; and a great-grandson, Derick Martin. The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 18, from Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, with the Rev. Julius Lucas officiating. Burial was in Custer Cemetery. Pallbearers were Rodney Triplett, Jason Triplett, Scott Triplett, Barry Ramsey, Charles Robert Pile, Sammy Carman, Darren Carman and Jody Carman.
