She was predeceased by : her husband R. Francis Hall; and her brothers, Tom Hughes and Jack Hughes. She is survived by : her children, Theresa Shelton (Tim), Michael Hall (Stephanie) of Vine Grove, KY, Charlie Hall (Susie Hamilton) of Vine Grove, KY and Joe Pat Hall of Elizabethtown, KY; her grandchildren, Austin Hall of Louisville, KY, Sierra Starling (Michael) of Louisville, KY and Tyler Hall of Vine Grove, KY; and her sister Mary Sue Foushee of Flaherty, KY. She is also survived by extended family & friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 12th 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, November 13th 2021 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Chism Family Funeral Home (769 Highland Ave, Vine Grove, KY 40175). A prayer was held on Friday, November 12th 2021 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A mass of christian burial was held on Saturday, November 13th 2021 at 11:00 AM at the St. Brigid Catholic Church (314 E Main St, Vine Grove, KY 40175).

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Joseph Indian School or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Elsie Ruth Hughes Hall, 86, of Vine Grove, KY passed away Friday, November 5, 2021 at the Signature of North Hardin, Radcliff, KY.

Mrs. Hall’s memberships include: St. Brigid Catholic Church, Vine Grove, KY, St. Brigid Resurrection Choir, Vine Grove High School Class of 1954, Central Kentucky Art Guild and Red Hat Society. She was an avid gardener who enjoyed being with family & friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, R. Francis Hall whom she married August 14, 1954. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Tom Hughes and Jack Hughes.

Survivors include:
Four children, Theresa Shelton (Tim) of North Fort Myers, FL, Michael Hall (Stephanie) of Vine Grove, KY, Charlie Hall (Susie Hamilton) of Vine Grove, KY, Joe Pat Hall of Elizabethtown, KY; three grandchildren, Austin Hall of Louisville, KY, Sierra Starling (Michael) of Louisville, KY, Tyler Hall of Vine Grove, KY; one sister, Mary Sue Foushee of Flaherty, KY; and a host of extended family & friends.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Friday, November 12, 2021 and from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM, Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. A prayer service will be officiated by Deacon Mike Ryan at 7:00 PM, Friday at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 13, 2021 at St. Brigid Catholic Church, Vine Grove, KY with Rev. Benedict Brown officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Brigid cemetery.
