RIVES, ANN LOUISE (FOSTER), 71, of Louisville passed away Monday, May 14, 2007 at her residence. She was born in Danville, KY and lived in Lawrenceburg, KY, before moving to Louisville. Ann was a retired teacher at St. Margaret Mary Catholic School, where she was actively involved in numerous school activities during her 20 year teaching career. Survivors include her son, Stephen Bradford Rives, his wife Mary Klarer Rives and their three children Will, Matt and Bess Rives. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Rd., with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m. Sunday at Pearson-Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mass of the Air.

RIVES, ROBERT C. "BOB" III, 72, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly at his home Tuesday, February 17, 2009. He was the son of the late James Shannon and Mary Bethel Rives. Mr. Rives graduated from Kentucky Military Institute and the University of Kentucky, where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order. He served with distinction as an officer in the Adjutant General's Corps of the U. S. Army. He was the former President of Butler Store Equipment for many years and later the president of The Bluegrass Agency, an insurance firm he founded in 1982. He also previously served as the President of Hurstbourne Country Club. He is survived by his wife, Cecelia Rives; his son, S. Bradford Rives (Mary Klarer) and their children Will, Matt and Bess; his son, Robert C. Rives IV (Laura) and his daughter, Mary K. Rives and her daughter, Cassidy. He is also survived by his brother, James S. Rives (Anne); and his sister, Susan R. Schwartz (Barry); and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Rives was predeceased by his wives, Ann Foster Rives and Linda C. Rives; and his sister, Mary Ann (Rives) Spalding (George). Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Rd., with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Friday at Ratterman's, 3711 Lexington Rd. Expressions of sympathy may go to either Frazier Rehab Institute or St Jude Children's Research Hospital
