Perry A. Carrico, 64, a retired Springfield businessman, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 12, 1978. Surviving are his widow, the former Miss Mary Yeast; a daughter, Miss Carmen Carrico, Springfield; six sons: Raymond, Al, and Marty Carrico, all of Louisville; Van Carrico, Great Falls, Montana; Tracy Carrico, presently serving with the U.S. Navy, and J.B. Carrico, Springfield. Also surviving are five sisters, Sr. Mary Corda, Owensboro; Sr. Carmencita, New Haven; Mrs. Richard Elder, Louisville; Mrs. Hart Hagan, Lebanon; and Mrs. Nixon Clarkson, Springfield; six brothers, John W., Eric, and Jimmie Carrico, Louisville; Lester Carrico, Bardstown; Boothe Carrico, Charlestown, Ind., and Maurice Carrico, Springfield; seven grandchildren, and one aunt, Miss Carmen Bell, Lebanon. is parents, Mr. and Mrs. Booth Carrico preceded him in death. Mr. Carrico was associated for several years with his brother, Maurice, as owners and operators of Springfield Laundry. Perry Carrico having retired last year. The funeral Mass was said at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Dominic's Catholic Church, with interment in the nearby church cemetery. His sons served as casket bearers.
