Alice Stiles Perkins Davis, 82 passed away at her residence on January 29, 2021 surrounded by family.
Alice was born to the late J. L. Stiles Perkins and Claude Coakley Perkins. She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Davis.
She is survived by her brother John T Perkins (Alice), niece Tracy Tharp (Cale), nephew /great niece Charles "Chip" and Charlotte Davis, niece Jamie Spugnardi (Nick), nephew Scott Jones, brothers in law Roger Davis and Brent Davis (Becky) and special friend Stephen Chmiel. Great nieces/nephews: Allie, Adam and Janie Shewmaker; Chase Watson; Chris, Mindy, Caroline and Caleb Key; Allison, Daniel, Elijah and Jonah Bemiss; Aletha Bault, Calea and Preston Howell, Doc, Brooke and Ethan Tharp.
Alice graduated from Hodgenville High School and Kentucky Wesleyan College and was valedictorian at both schools. After college she taught at LaRue County High in Hodgenville and then at Seneca in Louisville. She loved any kind of math. When a relative would be having problems with any kind of math they would always say "call Aunt Alice".
Alice loved to read, knit, cross- stitch and do cross word puzzles. A great person and will be missed by all.
Services will be at Smiths Grove Cemetery, Smiths Grove, Ky on February 2 at 10 a.m. CST.
