EDMUND GREENWELL, 20, MISSING IN ACTION - BROTHER OF MISS MARTHA GREENWELL AND PVT. J. I. GREENWELL, NOW IN LUXEMBOURG - Four months after one of her service-brothers died of illness, Miss Martha Greenwell, of this city, had the word Wednesday that another brother, Pvt. Charles Edmund Greenwell, 20, had been missing in action in France since November 20. Son of Dr. and Mrs. J. I. Greenwell, of New Haven, Ky., the youthful soldier is also a brother of Pvt. J. I. Greenwell, now with the American troops in Luxembourg, who was manager of Leo's Store here when he became a member of the Armed Forces. Miss Greenwell, laboratory technician for Dr. W. H. Cartmell, local physician and surgeon, heard the news that her brother is on the missing list in a telephone call from her parents. On August 10 they had similarly notified her that another brother, 1st Lt. Frederick Hugh Greenwell, 25, had succumbed to pneumonia in the naval hospital at Jacksonville, Fla., where he was on duty in the medical corps. At the time his brother died, the missing soldier was stationed at Fort Bragg, N. C. He went overseas shortly afterward. Besides Pvt. J. I. Greenwell, he has another brother in service, Sgt. James Greenwell, also on foreign soil. In her deep anxiety, Miss Greenwell will be affectionately in the minds of her many friends in this city.
