MAYSVILLE -- LILLIAN SLATTERY GREENWELL, 89, died peacefully Sunday evening, Feb. 10, 2008, surrounded by her immediate family at her home in Maysville. Daughter of the late Michael and Anna C. Slattery, Mrs. Greenwell was preceded in death by her husband, J.I. Greenwell, along with three sisters, Mary Jo Gallenstein and Betty Kelsch of Maysville and Jeanne Allred of Williamsburg, Va. She is survived by her brother, Bill Slattery of Maysville, along with a son, Joe (Nancy) Greenwell of Maysville and their sons, Joey (Melissa) Greenwell and daughter, Emily; and Kelly (Amanda) Greenwell and daughter, Olivia and son, Aidan. Mrs. Greenwell's daughters include Betty Jean (Bill) Pulsipher of Clifton, Va. and their children; Pam (Chris) Conte, their sons Matthew, Daniel, and Zachary; Bill (Michelle) Pulsipher and their sons, Liam and Leyton; Kristen (Jamie) Sirois, their sons Jackson and Colton and Aaron Pulsipher; Anne (Scott) Poe of Maysville and their children Allison, Andrew, Ike (Danielle), and Jess; Kathleen (Frank) Kane of Cincinnati, daughters, Meghan and Colleen and son, Frank, Jr; and Martha (Chris) Saylor of Richmond. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Greenwell was active with her husband in the management of Moore's Store in downtown Maysville for many years, prior to which she was a legal secretary in Maysville. In her later years she worked in the office of the Denham Clinic but was most involved as a homemaker for her family. She was a devoted, life-time member of St. Patrick's Church in Maysville as well as a loyal supporter and graduate of St. Patrick High School. Visitation for Mrs. Greenwell will be held at the Brell Funeral Home on Tuesday evening, Feb. 12, 2008 from 5 to 8 p.m., where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Patrick's Church on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008 at 11a.m. with Monsignor Robert Wehage as celebrant, the Rev. James L. McHugh and Deacon Mr. Ernie Hillenmeyer assisting. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetary, Maysville. Pallbearers include Mrs. Greenwell's grandsons, Joey and Kelly Greenwell, Bill and Aaron Pulsipher, Andrew, Ike, and Jess Poe, and Frank Kane, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will include Phyllis Johnson, Hilda Hord, Charoltte Kutylo, Rita Lang, Patty Welsch, and Margaret Ann Gorey. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Church, St. Patrick School or Hospice of Hope.
