Mrs. Henry DeSpain Buried Tuesday, Larue County Herald.
Mrs. Victoria DeSpain, age 83 years, mother of Chester Howard, resident of the Knob Creek section and a merchant at New Haven, died about 2 o'clock Sunday morning at her home in New Haven, after suffering a heart attack.
She was the widow of Henry DeSpain, who died several months ago at his home in Athertonville, this county.
Mrs. DeSpain leaves five daughters, Mrs. George Barry and Mrs. Edward Mudd of New Haven, Mrs. C.W. Cummings and George W. Little, both of Louisville, and Mrs. Jesse Boone of Covington, Ky., and two sons, Chester Howard, this county, and Dr. Leon Howard, of Miami Florida. Forty-six grandchildren and several step-children also survive.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at the Saint Catherine's Church, New Haven, and burial was in the cemetery at Howardtown.
