Mrs. Frances Bell Bays, 70, Lebanon, died Thursday, May 15, at Marion Manor in Lebanon after a long illness. She was a native of Howardstown, Nelson County, a daughter of the late W. E. and Lillie Howard Bell. The body rested at Carey & Son Funeral Home.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Frank Ulrich, Evansville Ind.; a son M/Sgt. Frank H. Bays, now in Hawaii; two sisters, Miss Hallie Bell, Bardstown, and Miss Carmen Bell, Lebanon; 8 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.,

The funeral Mass was said at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Rose Church. Rev. Ken Tobe, minister St. Augustine Catholic Church, Lebanon officiating. Interment was in the nearby cemetery.

Casket bearers were Julian and J. W.Willett, John W., Eric, Maurice, and Boothe Carrico.
