MARY CATHERINE GOLDSMITH, 92, died Saturday at Sacred Heart Village. She was the former Mary Catherine Wimsett, a native of New Haven, a retired employee of the old General Shoe Lace Co. and a member of Knights of St. John Ladies Auxiliary and St. Matthias Catholic Church. Survivor: a sister, Pauline O'Bryan. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, her church, 2200 Dixie Highway. Burial: Calvary. Visitation: Joseph E. Ratterman & Son-South Central, 2815 S. Fourth St., 2-9 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial gifts: her church.

JAMES W. "RED" GOLDSMITH, 64, of 1721 Harold Ave., died Sunday at SS. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. He was a native of Hart County, and a retired painter. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Catherine Wimsett Goldsmith; and a sister, Mrs. Claribel White. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 2200 Dixie Highway, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is at Ratterman's, 2815 S. Fourth St.
