MARY ELIZABETH MUDD, 86, died Wednesday at her home. She was the former Mary Elizabeth Wimsett and a native of New Haven. Survivors: two sons, Joseph Mudd of San Antonio, Texas, and James E. Mudd; three daughters, Betty Jacobs of Gardiner, N. Y., and Sue Mudd Hatfield and Sandy Bartley; two sisters, Catherine Goldsmith and Pauline O'Bryan; 20 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday, St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 338 N. 25th St. Burial: Calvary Cemetery. Visitation: Arch L. Heady Dixie Highway Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday. JOSEPH R. MUDD, 80, of 450 N. 28th St., died Tuesday at Georgetown Manor Nursing Home. He was a native of Grayson County, and a retired employee of the City of Louisville. Survivors include his wife, the former Elizabeth Wimsett; two sons, Joseph E. Mudd of San Antonio, Texas, and James E. Mudd; three daughters, Betty M. Jacobs of Barnegat, N. J., Sue Hatfield and Sandy Bartley; 19 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 338 N. 25th St., with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation at Portland Memorial Chapel, 519 N. 26th St., will be from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Mass of the Air.
