“quite an unfortunate accident occurred at the home of Mr. Willard Howard last Sunday. His little girl was playing in the yard when she was kicked in the face by a mule. Sever injuries were sustained, but at this time the littlee one is doing nicely.” – The Kentucky Standard, 1901.
